Website promotion
Header image

If you own a website, this article is a must read. I will give you some quality free tips to help you to gain a higher search engine position, a higher page rank and of course an increase in overall traffic.

In my opinion the following examples of website promotion are the best ways to obtain an increase in traffic to your website. I have a large number of websites and these free tips have helped me to make them a huge success. Out of all of the options that I mention by far the best is writing articles and this is likely to become a major form of website promotion in the future.

1. Pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting more and more people signing up to their service. I personally use pay per click however the costs are increasing each month as it like a form of auction. There are better ways of attracting visitors which are also free as you may read later. PPC is a way of getting your website on the right hand side of the search results in the sponsored results by you paying an advertising fee. You set the amount you are happy to pay per click and when somebody clicks on your ad, you have an extra visitor, however at a cost to you. It is important to remember not to spend more on the pay per click advertising than what you are likely to earn etc.

2. Writing articles.

Writing articles such as this one is a good way of promoting your website. There are a growing number of free content or article websites who are more than happy to receive your article. That is

as long as it is a quality article and not just full of keywords. Other webmasters are able to use your articles on their website which gives you an extra backward link as you are able to add your website address at the bottom of the article. The article websites which accept your article also creates an extra link. These links are of huge value as they are what are called one way links. With the explosion and likely long term popularity of blogs, which of course require content, articles are the future for obtaining links. People who are reading the article on the article websites are also potential visitors.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are trying to gain extra traffic to your website, looking to increase your search engine position or hoping to increase your page rank, it is a must to increase the amount of backward links you have. This is not as easy as it seems as people are not always happy to add a link on their site to your homepage. It is worth making a large amount of phone calls or sending lots of e-mails and asking if the person would like to exchange links. This can be rather boring but will have a huge value in the long run. If you just do not have the time for this it might be worth joining a program such as linkmetro. Any links you obtain have a higher value if they are of a similar business to your own.

4. Always include your domain address in advertising.

Wherever you advertise it is important to include your website domain address, and also at the bottom of any e-mails you send.

Get 500% More Leads With The Same Marketing Budget?

Let’s start with the basics. A landing page is a single page on your website that is designed to quickly convert a specific visitor into paying customer, hot lead, sign-up etc.

Conversion Rate is the amount of visitors (usually a percentage) that “convert” to a sale, sign, up etc.

If you have 10,000 visitors a month to your website and you convert 1%. That would be 10 Sales. Now if you could increase the conversion rate by 500%, then you could now get 5 times the amount of sales with the same marketing budget.

Here is how

ExampleSuppose you are a lawyer at a big law firm that offers every type of Legal Service (Divorce, Corporate, Estate, Etc)

Now if you are searching for a divorce lawyer and need one fast, you do not care about any other type of law. You want a straight forward to the point

1. The first rule is to mark your target feel special. Create a single page just for them and market to their wants and concerns

Studies show that when someone is searching for something specific, they want to find that information quickly (in less than 8 seconds) or they will leave that page and never come back.

2. Create an enticing headline to grab the reader by the throat and make them take action NOW.

In the divorce law case, some really good simple

headlines on the page might be

ABC Divorce Law Make that jerk pay!ABC Divorce Law – We secured over $35 Million in settlements last year!ABC Divorce Law – Free Make Up Bag With Retainer

Okay some of these are meant to be funny, but you get the idea

Now the landing page is designed to work quickly. You want your visitor to either, complete the sale, pick up the phone, or email for more info. Do not use too many graphics or graphics. Now would not be the time to tell the customer about the history of your company or any not related businesses offers.

3. KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid! Yes sometimes the most effective marketing campaigns are the simplest.

This one is painfully obvious

4. Make sure that only your landing page target lands on that page. You can have specific advertisements point to the landing page. Then you can go ahead and test away.

At present there are over 3.3 billion pages indexed by Google, and that definitely does not cover the entire Internet. With so many competitors around, you sure have to use every conceivablemethod available to promote your website.

Newsgroups can be very powerful tools in your web promotion endeavor if you use them actively.

What is a Newsgroup?

A newsgroup is a message board on the Internet where users come to discuss topics of mutual interest. Each newsgroup is dedicated to a particular subject of interest and consists of messages posted by participants. You can find several ongoing discussions surrounding various topics within a single newsgroup. These topics are call threads. As a user you can start a thread, post messages to a thread and make responds to other postings.

Before the Internet era, the way you know it now, back in eighties and early nineties people used to connect to electronic bulletin boards (bbs) through modems and post text messages for others to read and answer. Usenet Newsgroups was started as a collection of these bulletin boards. Along with the Internet, Newsgroups have also started to grow rapidly. Thanks to the Interface introduced by Deja News in 1995 use of Newsgroups became simple and convenient, which also gave enough impetus to this growth.

Today, Usenet discussion forums or Newsgroups indexed by Google comprise over 800 million messages, which is around a terabyte of information! It is calculated that over 10 million people have regular access to Newsgroups!

Each newsgroup is formed with a certain purpose. This is described in its charter at the time it is started. Normally every Newsgroup has its own single subject. However there could be many Newsgroups dedicated to one subject.

There are tens of thousands of newsgroups on every subject you can possibly imagine. The subjects in Newsgroups are hierarchically structured. Some of them are moderated, means somebody controls the postings, most don’t.

How to use Newsgroups?

Since there are so many newsgroups, whatever your interest is you will most likely find a newsgroup which will suit you. Although, most email readers have built-in features to subscribe Newsgroups the most convenient way to read newsgroups today is to use “Google Search”. Once you are on the search page of the Google, Click on the Groups from the menu. This will take you to Groups search page with a directory of Newsgroups under the headline ‘Post and read comments in Usenet discussion forums’. The most common subdirectories for businesses are located in alt, biz and misc. For example: If you are in import and export business you might try alt.business.imort-export, which has several groups within it.

Run a search using a keyword related to your online business that you would like to promote from the groups search page of Google. The result will appear chronologically, the most recent one being at the top. Check out the most relevant Newsgroups from the results. If your search produces a very big list of results, try the advanced search option. Try reducing the time frame of postings. By default Google searches within all messages posted from 1981.

For really worthwhile information I’ll suggest to use moderated groups. Most Newsgroups which are not moderated easily fill up with spam and you really have to wade through them to find something interesting.

Did you notice that Google has a new paid service under the name “Google Answers”? For a fee Google nominated researchers will get answers to your hard to find questions. The service is located at http://answers.google.com. If you go through the

questions that are already asked, you will be amazed to see that by searching newsgroups you will find answers to many of them without paying a dime. Newsgroups are indeed a gold mine of information!

Benefits of using Newsgroups

As an online business you can rip varieties of benefits from effective use of Newsgroups.

Establish yourself as an expert of your chosen fieldPeople will prefer doing business with you if they know that you are an expert in your field. Post important and relevant information in your chosen Newsgroup, answer to the questions posted. Very soon, people from the Newsgroup will start considering you as an expert and you will be amazed to see quantity of new visitors checking out your site.

Conduct market survey

Newsgroups can be a great source of marketing information. By asking questions in relevant Newsgroups you can find a way of figuring out what people think about your product, your website, etc.

Get new clients

There are Newsgroups, which are formed with the sole purpose of various announcements and promotions. Prudent use of these Newsgroups along with your relevant Newsgroups will definitely increase your site traffic and get new clients.

Promote your site

In relevant groups you can post announcement about your site launch, press releases, product information, etc. Participation in the discussions in your subject matter with your signature file, which should include your website address, will help getting new visitors and increase the quantity of backward links to your website.

Get answers to your questions

You can’t be an expert in every thing! Often, you will need answers to various questions. Ask them in relevant Newsgroups along with your signature file. Not only you will have answers to your questions, along with this you will also promote your site.

Make friends

Newsgroups can be a great place to find like-minded friends and partners.

Posting do’s and don’ts

You have to be very careful with what you post in a Newsgroup. Before making your first post, go through the FAQ and posting rules of the Newsgroup and read some of the postings. You want to position yourself as an expert not an idiot! Some Newsgroups users are pretty aggressive. If they feel that you are spamming their precious Newsgroup you will be flamed in no time.

Here are some basic rules:

- Don’t post commercials, advertisements or press releases; unless the newsgroup specifically mentions that it endorses these things.

- While posting a respond, stick to the original topic.

- Quote only the portion of the message you are responding not the whole message.

- Don’t cross post. This means, do not post same messages in several relevant Newsgroups.

- Never post unrelated messages to Newsgroups. This is considered as spamming!

- While posting a message be specific and concise in the subject line.

- Post your signature file with each and every message. This is important for your web promotion!

- Check your spelling and grammar before posting a message.

The idea is to make valuable contribution to the Newsgroups and by doing so at the same time promote your online business. Ask questions that you perceive useful to you and others. Post responds to messages, which are informative, thought-provoking and of high quality. Soon you will build credibility among your fellow Newsgroup members and start receiving a flow of loyal customers.

Label printing and sticker printing are very useful investments for your office or factory production floor. They have many uses and functions that are well worth the money and effort in printing them. A lot of companies use them to facilitate equipment security, mark and classify documents and display notices. If your company has not yet invested in label printing or sticker printing, you should really try it out. It is only a minor and relatively cheap investment and its advantages go well beyond its dollar value. Here are those advantages in detail:

Sticker printing for security:

The security of equipment for offices and factories is an important concern for all companies. Sticker printing can really help in the security of this equipment. You can place stickers with codes or identifiers that mark the company’s equipment and claim it as company property. In this way, you can track what really is the company’s equipment, and what are the ones that your employees or staff brought in.

Of course, this only works if you have a custom sticker design that no one can produce but yourself. A lot of printing companies offer custom label or sticker printing for this very purpose. They might even offer adding bar codes and holograms to your stickers to further increase its security.

Label printing for documents:

Besides security, one of the most common uses of label printing is for documents. You can use your custom labels to mark and classify your important paperwork. Your label designs can be color coded so that you can organize and classify papers and folders according to their use. You can even use the labels to mark

papers that go through a process. For example, in an application process or an order form, you can place labels or stickers to papers that have already been processed or authenticated. The labels become a mark that makes it easy to identify what paper has completed a process.

Labels as notices and warnings:

Safety is also a big concern for all companies. Thousands of dollars are always spent to guard against bad employee habits and minimize work related accidents. However, did you know that investing in even just simple warning signs and written notices can increase work safety to a considerable degree? By adding warning signs such as “watch your head” or “handle with care” people can actually be persuaded to take a little bit of extra care when doing their work, or if they are going from place to place. It is a simple but important fact.

Label printing is a nice cheap way to increase safety via signs like that. You can print custom labels that warn your employees on hazardous areas of your production floor. Hazardous equipment can also be labeled this way so that employees have some warning when using them. You can also train your employees on good working habits by posting custom labels with reminders on how to do their work properly.

So, as you can see, there are plenty of advantages to label printing. With its relatively cheap printing cost, it should really be standard practice for all companies to invest in label or sticker printing. So go ahead, start printing your labels now.

To increase sales, instead of displaying banners or ads on your website, write a review. On your main page, display a short intriguing paragraph with a link to your full review. For example, this is the text that was displayed on the main page of one of my websites, which was a lead in to the main review of “Make Your Site Sell.”

Make Your Site Sell

By Ken Evoy, MD

Ken Evoy has discovered what it takes to succeed online. With his newly released electronic book, Ken shares all of his secrets to bringing in over $1,000 a day with a product that is almost impossible to sell. He has definitely done his homework. Read our review and find out how you can get a freetrial version (over 100 pages) of Make Your Site Sell.

The paragraph also includes a picture of Ken and a link that says, “Read our Review.”

Here’s the review:

Review: Make Your Site Sell

By Ken Evoy, MD

PDF Electronic Book,

GoodBytes Information Products, Inc.

There are many marketing books available online but none, that I know of, that takes you step by step and goes into such explicit detail as Ken Evoy’s, “Make Your Site Sell.” Evoy, a marketing guru, has done his homework. After developing a computer software program designed to generate more high-potential stock candidates, Evoy realized the Internet was the ultimate high-density marketplace.

Although he had originally created the software to help himself, he decided that if his software was of interest to him, it would be of interest to others as well. So he decided to market it.

He knew that his PennyGold software wasn’t going to be easy to sell. So before he began designing his web site, he spent countless hours reading books on copywriting, writing direct response letters and web marketing. He surfed through countless commercial web sites looking for the strongest common elements that worked. He tried just about everything that looked or sounded reasonable. He kept what worked and ditched the rest.

After two years of trial and error, he developed a tight battlefield-system that works. He increased his PennyGold sales by tenfold. The current price is $587 (Canadian) with no trial download. He’s done all his testing on a very difficult product to sell.

Evoy begins by explaining what he refers to as “The big three to succeed on the web.”

1) Develop a great product

2) Write a web site that sells with deadly effectiveness

3) Attract targeted customers to the site

He goes on to say that if you succeed at all three, your web business has to succeed. Period.

He recommends that you begin by determining your “Most Wanted Response.” (MWR) Decide what response are you trying to achieve, whether it be to make a sale, get a lead or whatever response you’re looking for. Once you have determined your MWR for a product, you can design that part of your site to achieve it.

A good MWR is:

1. Reasonable

2. Measurable

3. Must be a good fit for your customer

4. It must qualify your visitor

Evoy goes into great detail for designing your product’s opening page, creating a pathway

and the closer page all specifically designed to reach your MWR.

He then explains the power of written word. It will make or break your effort to persuade your visitor. The right words will turn your visitor into your customer. He advises to use strong, active, emotion-charged words to captivate your visitors.

He goes into great detail on writing powerful ad copy, headlines that hit by identifying your products benefits and using strong active verbs to create powerful headlines with emotional impact. He stresses the importance of using verifiable testimonials and providing generous guarantees to build customer trust.

This book is jammed packed with valuable information. It’s captivating, enlightening and even a bit surprising at times. Evoy definitely over delivers.

He explains his entire marketing plan in explicit, easy to read detail, and has a very unique system designed to make the sale. When you purchase his book (800+ pages), you’ll also receive two free valuable smaller books, as well. “Building Targeted Traffic” and “It All Starts with the Product.” He stresses the importance of selecting the “ideal” Internet product with tips for selecting the best sales price.

As a direct result of reading, “Make Your Site Sell,” I have been reevaluating my own marketing techniques and site design. This is definitely a “Must Read.” The price is very reasonable. You can download this ebook formatted in PDF with both of the free gifts for only $17 USD or $24 Canadian. It comes with a complete money back guarantee. If you follow his techniques, it will quickly pay for itself.

Write your review like an outline of the product. Pack it with all the benefits the product has to offer and provide your personal endorsement. Keep in mind, you don’t want it to sound like a sales letter.

Once you’ve gained your potential customers trust, your personal recommendation will carry a lot of weight. Make sure you only recommend a product that you have actually reviewed and truly believe in.

If you don’t have a website, but publish a newsletter or ezine, you can compact your review into an article and achieve the same results.

By writing a professional sounding review with your personal recommendation and ditching your banners and ads, you will increase your sales immensely.

Designing a web site is hard enough. You spend countless hours working on how it is going to look and what cool specials effects it is going to have. You even spent hours picking out your site colors. So now what?

Now you have to promote it. But how? There are many ways. You can submit them to search engines, join a pay per click advertising program and link exchanges. Of these link exchanges are the ones most picked, mainly because they are free. But do they work.

According to the emails that keep coming into my inbox, link exchange is dead. The big search engines know what they are about. Back scratching. You link to me and I will link to you. It does not help your SEO or your quest to be #1 on Google or Yahoo. But it does give you awareness to the people you exchanged links to. And this can be

helpful.

I believe there is no one way to get your site ranked number one with anyone. But I do think if you plan your strategy correctly and use all of the tools available to you, you can get what you are looking for. You designed your site and you know what your audience is looking for. You may even know where your audience is.

So just because you hear certain marketing methods are dead, don’t give up hope and sell your domain name. Use the normal process to get ranked among the big boys and use you link exchanges for awareness to you targeted audience.

Engaging in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising has its own benefits and drawbacks. But what exactly is PPC advertising and what it can do to your business?

Business nowadays is doing different kinds of austerity measures when it comes to advertising their products and services. This is because of high rates of placing ads on print and on television. But there is a fast growing approach that businessmen can utilize to bring their services closer to the people and that is through Internet Marketing.

One tool that is causing internet marketing popularity is PPC advertising. This is a technique used in search engine marketing that requires one to pay a fee every time someone clicks an ad on your website. Usually this placement is done through a bidding process. If you are a top bidder for your keywords/phrases, you are sure to be on the number one spot on all search engines. Just be sure of the effectiveness of your ad copy to get the most number of clicks you need for your business.

Here are the benefits of PPC advertising are:

1. You need not be a genius in computer and technology to be able to run this ad campaign.

2. Immediate results are seen after a few days.

3. No need to make a website conform to the SEO rules.

4. Nothing to lose even if you do not top the pages of different search engines. You can still always choose PPC advertising.

5. You can make use any search engine available.

6. You can type in any keyword you like.

Cons of PPC advertising includes:

1. Fixed payments every month to the search engine you choose.

2. Pay for each click received by your website. At times, visitors are just competitors or people playing pranks on search engines. This hassle wastes money you put in to this advertising.

3. Inability to pay for the fees next month would mean removal of your website on the paid listings.

4. This advertising can only be used temporarily because it is difficult to handle in the long run.

5. Pay-per-click pricing can be costly for long periods of time, therefore, this should be stopped after an ad campaign.

But how exactly PPC advertising can increase traffic, leads and sales?

PRE-QUALIFIED TRAFFIC. All visitors of your website are already considered as a qualified consumer or buyer of your product. PPC advertising leads your customers to you for a lesser cost.

INSTANT EXPOSURE, IMMEDIATE PROFITS. PPC search engines enable you to get your desired results fast. They will have your website live within just a few hours which means immediate increase in sale.

CONSISTENT TOP LISTINGS. This is to get your website on top of the sponsored search results for free. You just have to choose the keywords related to your site and business and place

them within your web pages. After this, you are done.

PPC advertising enables advertisers to control their advertising campaigns. Advertisers have effectively targeted their audience and set their own price per click. PPC advertising networks provide the platform to identify the desired audience by geographic setting, topic and industry. These networks have a list of websites of the publishers where the ads will be placed.

Tools are provided by the networks to check how the pay per click limit is working for a certain advertiser. If its still competitive, would it be even listed among the paid search lists or does it generate sales? Of course, if the advertiser made the highest bid, the better chances the ad will be seen in the search engine. These networks too provide protection for the advertisers against click fraud. This advertising set-up allows advertisers to set a daily budget for his ads, thus, less spending for unnecessary clicks. Advertiser will never go over his budget.

In PPC advertising, what are important are the keywords and phrases. You have to select at least ten “very specific” keywords that would give you the best traffic in the search. Then, write the ad creatively but straightforward. Tell the truth about your product or service and do not lie. Good thing if your product or service will not disappoint those that are relying on your ad’s promise – but what if it did otherwise? Important too is the clarity of the ad. Do not use very vague languages. Include important details like the price.

You should also remember to budget your bids. Do not go overbidding because you will only lose your money and do not go so low that your ads will never get the chance to show up. Check your profit against your spending. If you see no progress then most likely you have to drop your ad campaign.

More and more advertisers have been using PPC advertising and it will continue to grow faster than any online advertising techniques. From revenues of $2.6 billion in 2004 to $5.5 billion in 2009, cost per click will dramatically go up as well from $0.29 to $0.36.

PPC advertising is new in online marketing and it is going to continue in the years to come. For advertisers, this means increase revenues with fewer advertising expenses, savings, more sales, good return of investment (ROI) and effective ad campaigns in the days to come.

Terry Detty loves this Website Promotion website and its Internet Advertising capabilities. Great results are seen with this Website Promotion period.

So you have a website up and running. But you won’t be selling anything if the crowds don’t come. How do you get the crowds to come by your website without paid advertising?

Try running a contest!

Besides helping you promote your business, running a contest enables you to collect details about your prospects! After all, those who participate in the contest must somehow be interested in your prizes, right?

Organising a contest is an indirect way to get more information about your prospects. Once you have their emails in hand, you can contact them when you have promotions, discounts, giveaways, freebies and goodies directly.

Yes, running a contest is one of the many ways you can draw the crowd, especially if you offer your products as contest prizes. But what if you don’t have any products to offer as prizes? No problem! If you run a consultancy, offer your services as the prize. Yet, if you feel that you need to offer something tangible, you could try partnering with other businesses to offer prizes related to your business.

To run a successful contest, here are five important things to remember.

1. What’s In It For Me?

Those who join your online contest are in it for one thing: self-interest. What benefit will they derive from joining your contest? Give them a can’t-say-no reason. This means offering them a contest prize that they simply cannot refuse. The key thing is: never give them a product that is mediocre or worthless. People are not stupid so do not take them for a ride by offering something that you, yourself would not use or buy. Think like your customer: does this prize get me excited if I win? If you can’t even get yourself hyped up about the prize, it’s time to re-think.

2. How Long Does It Run?

Next, determine the duration of the contest. Some run for a month, some run for three. The disadvantages of running a contest longer than a month is that participants’ attention will falter and soon, your contest may be forgotten. A shorter duration may be a good bet sometimes. Again, this depends on how confident you are of your prize and how much attention you’ll expect it’ll garner.

3. Brainstorm For Ideas

Now that you have the prize and duration settled, think about how to present your contest. What type are you looking at? Now’s a good time to brainstorm and decide how simple or complicated you want it to be. Do

you want your participants to write a slogan? Do you want your participants to hunt for some information on your website? Again, as the organiser, it’s your call. Based on our experience, give something in between – not too complex to stump them and drive them off, nor something too easy that insults their intelligence.

4. Design The Contest

Finally, it is time to put the contest to work by designing the necessary web pages and forms (if applicable). How do you want the participants to send their entries in? By email? Or do you need them to fill up a form on your website? Before your contest goes live online, get family members or friends to test out the contest and weed out problems, if any.

Another important tip is to also include a page which sets out the rules and regulations of the contest (you don’t want disgruntled participants, do you?). Be sure you tell them when the contest results will be posted online at your website. Most contest organisers will post contest results on their website as well as send an email to the winners, informing them.

5. Promote It Everywhere

Once the contest is ready, it is time to promote the contest to everyone you know. Naturally, the first place to do so would be on your website. Next, promote it on other websites, on newsgroups, wherever you can stick the contest announcement.

Don’t think only in terms of online promotion. You’d be surprised that offline promotion works too.

At the same time, don’t leave out your existing customers either. Send them an email announcing the contest. Tell them to send or refer the contest to friends and families, especially since you know they’ve bought from you and they know your products well (that is, if you are offering your own product).

The key to any successful online contest is to keep promoting it, even until the deadline itself.

Now that you know how to run a contest, go on, get one organised! It takes some work and needs some creative thinking but it’s fun and helps you promote your business in the most innovative way!

Are you regularly updating your company letterheads? If not, then you are in big trouble. It is always a good practice to invest in letterhead printing every so often so that your paperwork will always look new and up to date. If you do not do this on a regular basis your paperwork (and hence your company as well) will look old and uncompetitive. As a small guide to you, below are a few suggestions of when you should update your letterheads.

Regular Annual updates

Of course, as a standard practice, you should have regular annual updates for your letterheads. A yearly update is a great way to just keep your letterhead designs in line with the prevailing views and tastes at the time. Culture and the business environment can change quickly and a yearly update is a good way to organize your update schedule to adapt to those changes.

Contact information changes

Besides a regular schedule, you can also set a rule for yourself to invest in a new batch of letterhead printing if important contact information changes. For example, if the email address of the company or its website URL changes, it is always important to update all materials with contact information including of course your letterheads. Doing this thing lessens the chances of people mistakenly contacting the old details letting you lose business opportunities.

Logo change and improvement

Also, it is always inevitable that design changes in the company motif or logo can happen. When this does occur, do not forget to update your letterheads as well. You do not want

to continue printing the old logo since the new logo might be part of a whole new revamp of the company image. The logo is very important since it is how your company is identified. It carries with it the pride and respect of the company so it is always a must to have the newest and improved rendition of it printed in your letterheads.

Printing opportunities

Of course, you can also take advantage of printing letterheads when there are certain opportunities. Some printing companies out there may offer sudden discounts in printing especially when they have only a few orders for a significantly long duration. When this happens do not be afraid to swoop in to print your letterheads. Even though you may have several stocks of notepads left, buying those cheap notepads now is a nice investment since you will buy those things anyway. Why not get them now at a discount right?

Public relation issues

Finally, if you had a big public relations incident where the reputation of your company has been tarnished, it might be a good idea to change the letterhead design so that people would not be immediately turned off by what it represents. Business is all about image, so if you lose that image, you must mitigate the effects if you can by adjusting your logo and letterheads so that they still look respectable and responsible.

So keep those situations in mind. They are a great guide on the proper timing of letterhead updates.

The commercial industry is getting to be saturated by the minute. This means that there is an oversupply of businesses and very few takers. With the current recession, people are generally decreasing their spending activities that there is not much selling going on. With fewer customers and increasing number of products and services flooding the market, you have to be more competitive than the usual in order for you to get ahead in the game.

All of these things mean one thing – you need to be resourceful when it comes to making a sale and earning profits despite the competition. With effective marketing, you can have your means to stand out from the rest.

As a marketer, you know for a fact that just about anyone and everyone can offer the same thing that you are offering. And despite the difference in brand and models, almost all competing items are the same. In addition to the fact that what you can do, your competition also has the capability to offer the same thing. For example, if you are looking at full color poster printing to promote your business, your competition would have used custom poster printing one time or another. If you are thinking of giving more benefits, your competition could have thought about it too. So what can you do to stand out? More than the features and descriptions, you can generate leads than your competition when you present your products

and services based on how your target clients perceive them to be.

Your target clients will choose depending on the presentation of the offer. When you market your business, your target clients would want to see that you are able to provide them with something that nobody has yet to provide them with before. One way to do this is to give them a distinct quality in your offer. This is like giving a unique angle to your story. Choosing your angle depends on what your particular target market wants, not what you would like it to be. Your job then is to find that particular angle that would be of interest to your audience.

Another way of effectively marketing your business is to present yourself as an expert in your industry. Your target clients should feel that they are dealing with someone who knows the ins and outs of the business you are in. They would rely and trust you more if they believe that you know what you are talking about.

The bottom line to effective marketing is in the packaging. When you present your business to your target market, the way you do it depends on how they perceive you and your worth. Make sure that you convey your value to your target market and they will definitely deal with you as often as you want.
